Art Production has increased tremendously and the future of artists appears bright & secured. But the value of art production can neither be assessed in terms of money, scale or volume nor can the influence of art on a community be measured by attendance's at public galleries and exhibitions. It is true that if a great artistic tradition is to be formed and continued, the existing body of patronage must be extended,which in turn will make possible a greater quantity of art production. But the greatness of the tradition will ultimately depend on the discrimination and knoweldge of the public and on the originality,skill and integrity of the artists.

The landmarks in art were created by Sobha Singh, Satish Gujral, Sohan Singh, Thakur Singh, Kirpal Singh, Amrita Sher-Gill and others.The Indian artists today recognize freedom to look, inquire and create without the confusing limits of a commission. He has become a speculator, philosophically, aesthetically and economically.He is seeking a whole new horizon of freedom. Thus a new value and dimensions of Art & Craft are emerging.

About the Institute

Desh Bhagat Institute of Art & Craft at Mandi Gobindgarh being the very first of its kind in the region is being run by the Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes, welcomes you all the students and hopes that you will become an ideal teacher and achieve your aims under the guidance of your teachers.

The Institute is self-sufficient in respect of building space, faculity, libary, transport facilities, and equipment. A suitable arrangement for hostel shall be made depending upon the requirements of students. Whenever required, the computer facility alongwith Internet access shall be made available to the students.

Computer room is well equipped with latest computers.Faculty members are also well qualified to

guide students whenever needed.Students learn the use and utility of computers in the field of art

and craft,how to make designs on computer etc.

Craft Room

There is a separate room for different crafts.Clay modeling and

paper craft classes their.All required material is available in these

rooms and students are thought how to make different structure wsing different things.

Library

DBIAC's library is unique in its nature.The library has sound collection of 2000 books releated to

this field.Books of all famous artist and painters are available here.The library is equipped with open

book shelves.There is separate CD section which has latest CD's of material useful; in theirteaching

learning process.
